Voxeo Launches European Subsidiary, Hosting Center and Sales Office
LONDON, U.K. - Voxeo Corporation expanded into Europe with the opening of a UK subsidiary, Voxeo Europe Limited; a UK-based IVR and VoIP hosting center; and a European sales office.
This represents the company's first operational presence overseas.
Voxeo's support for the Voice eXtensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) allows any Web application to control how to prompt, listen, and respond to callers, while Call Control eXtensible Markup Language (CCXML) enables a Web application to control calls themselves, including support for call initiation, conferencing, routing, bridging, and call-center integration.
Voxeo Europe Limited, headquartered in London, will market the full range of Voxeo products and services in Europe. These include:
- Voxeo Prophecy software, which can be installed on a Windows compatible server at any enterprise, with support coming later this year for Linux and Apple OS X;
- Voxeo Fusion servers, which feature pre-installed Prophecy software in a rack-mountable, turn-key server appliance;
- Voxeo VoiceCenter hosting, a facility in Slough, Berkshire featuring pre-deployed infrastructure running Voxeo Prophecy software.
Voxeo VoiceCenter hosting supports inbound calls on toll-free or local numbers from countries in continental Europe, as well as calls to 0800, 0845, 0870, 0871 and local numbers within the UK. Outbound calls can be placed to any land-line, cellular, or VoIP phone worldwide. Both inbound and outbound calls can be delivered via traditional telephone lines or VoIP.
The facility also features on-site technical hands and a power supply with back-up generators. In addition, the facility is monitored and managed 24 hours a day by Voxeo's Global Network Operations Center.
