Voice Travel Mate Is Launched

Voice Link Technologies released its patented travel translation iPhone and iPad app, Voice Travel Mate.

Voice Travel Mate can cross-translate 10 languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese) with fluent genuine human voice playback.

A database of 40,000 travel-friendly phrases carefully selected by traveling experts are categorized across 16 major topics and more than 100 sub-topics. Based on user-selected phrases, the built-in artificial intelligence engine will suggest relevant phrases in one's desired languages.

To make Voice Travel Mate a more personal translator, users can "favorite" their frequently used phrases and add them to their assigned folders. A handy record  and playback function is also available for users to record and store voice clips.

Voice Travel Mate for iPhone and iPad is now available in the App Store. Customers can download the app for free to try the "Eating Out" category. And for a limited time, the first full version language pair is priced at $3.99. Each additional language will cost $2.99.

An Android version is currently in development and expected to be available in a few months, along with more language pairs, such as Arabic, Korean, Portuguese, and Turkish.
