Nuance Adds Hulu to Dragon Go! for iPhone

Nuance Thursday announced that its Dragon Go! app for iPhone and iPod touch now lets Hulu Plus subscribers access current season TV shows and movies via voice recognition.

"Mobile consumers are demanding a search experience that does more than just serve up a list of blue links—they want direct access to relevant content," said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile, in a statement. "By working with more than 200 of the most trusted content providers, like Hulu Plus, consumers can watch, listen to, and find just about anything from anywhere, just by speaking naturally."

Dragon Go!'s combination of Nuance's Dragon voice recognition and natural language understanding results in an app that not only hears what people say, but what they mean. Rather than scrolling through a long list of links to find content or search results, people can get instant access to the most relevant content and knowledge on the mobile Web. Dragon Go!'s open design also gives consumers and content providers an experience that maintains each brand's familiar look and feel.

Dragon Go! lets consumers say virtually anything and immediately jump to relevant destinations. Hulu Plus subscribers can say, "Watch Modern Family," "Find Saturday Night Live skits," or "Watch Age of the Dragons," and begin watching their favorite shows and movies right on their iPhone or iPod touch. Dragon Go! for iPhone and iPod touch is available for free in the Apple App Store U.S. in U.S. English.

Dragon Go! features the largest direct-access content ecosystem in mobile today, with content provided by AccuWeather, Ask.com, Bing, Dictionary.com, ESPN, Expedia, Facebook, Fandango, Last.fm, LiveNation, Milo.com, OpenTable, Pandora Internet radio, Rotten Tomatoes, Spotify, Twitter, Wikipedia, Wolfram|Alpha, Yelp, YouTube, Yahoo!, and others.
