YouMail Faces Visual Voicemail Lawsuit

Klausner Technologies has filed suit in a Texas federal court against YouMail for patent infringement under its U.S. Visual Voicemail patents.

Klausner Technologies currently has 27 visual voicemail patent licensees under its U.S., European, and Asian patents, including major U.S. and European mobile operators, international cell phone manufacturers, cable/VOIP providers, and over-the-top” visual voicemail services.

YouMail recently stated that its customer base surpassed 1 million registered users. “We congratulate YouMail on its success; but we can’t allow them to use our patented inventions and not pay royalties, especially when 27 other companies using our visual voicemail technology have already signed license agreements for our patents”, said Judah Klausner, Klausner Technologies’ president.
