Intermec Introduces Vocollect Voice on the SRX Wireless Headset
Vocollect today announced the market availability of Vocollect’s wireless headset, the SRX, on the Intermec CK3 rugged mobile computer. The solution helps mobile workers in warehouses achieve all of the proven productivity and accuracy benefits of voice with even greater freedom of mobility.
The Odom Corp., a beverage distributor that sells 1.7 million cases of varied products each month, has used Vocollect Voice with the CK3 to:
- improve perfect order fulfillment rates from 76 percent to 99 percent;
- increase the amount of bottles processed per hour from 360 to 500; and
- improve case pick rates per hour from 95 to 156.
Vocollect Voice on the CK3 leverages Vocollect’s client software, device management software, and process logic software with a host of client-based tools and a wide variety of applications to support mobile workers performing tasks including picking, replenishment, put-away and cycle-counting.
“Combining the CK3 and SRX wireless headset adds another level of flexibility and performance for our customers,” said Tim Eusterman, senior director of industry marketing at Intermec. “Whether you wear the CK3 or mount it on a forklift or pallet jack, going wireless for voice applications changes the game for productivity, ergonomics, and safety. And realizing all these benefits from a single mobile computing infrastructure improves efficiency and reduces operating costs.”
Tom Murray, vice president of product management and marketing at Vocollect, noted, “Our ability to offer the Intermec CK3 device with both wireless and wired headsets provides a variety of options for companies seeking to heighten business performance through voice. Now Intermec customers have another configuration to gain the many workflow productivity and accuracy benefits of voice.”
