NCH Express Dictate Now a Free iPhone App

NCH Software, a provider of audio, video, business, and VoIP tools and utilities worldwide, today announced that its Express Dictate digital dictation software is now available as a free iPhone app.

Express Dictate, called Pocket Dictate at Apple’s app store, allows users to record and send dictation directly from their PCs, Macs, PocketPCs, Palms, SmartPhones, and now iPhones. The software is a professional dictation voice recorder that works like a traditional dictaphone.

Accounting firms, medical practices, and law firms in particular have the need for dictation and transcription software that cuts out time, and even secretarial needs. A lawyer can dictate while at the courthouse, hit send and have the audio file emailed to his transcriptionist instantly.

“Express Dictate is the most useful productivity tool in my arsenal,” said Richard Georges, a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based lawyer whose practice handles real property, corporations, wills, trusts and estates law. “You can email the dictation, send it to a specified location on any computer in your network, and it sits in the active application tray, just waiting to be used.”

It will also use any microphone and speaker combination. “I just dictate into my phone, and it’s ready to email to the transcriptionist,” Georges said.
