Information Today Acquires SpeechTEK and Speech Technology Magazine

Information Today, Inc. (ITI), a diversified media company specializing in creating effective communications strategies for practitioners, suppliers and industry leaders within communities of practice, has acquired SpeechTEK Conferences and Expositions and Speech Technology Magazine of Lexington from AmComm Holdings, Inc.

Thomas H. Hogan, president and CEO of Information Today, and John Kelly, CEO of AmComm Holdings, announced that SpeechTEK, SpeechTEK West, Speech Technology Magazine, the STM NewsBlast, SpeechSource and speechtoolbox.com will become a part of Information Today.

Hogan is a past president of the American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIST) as well as the Association of Information and Dissemination Centers (ASIDIC). He co-authored one of the first books in the field of electronic information, Online Searching: A Primer, in 1981 and is recognized as one of the pioneers in the field of electronic publishing. A graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, Hogan is profiled in Marquis Who's Who in America.

Kelly, a Kentucky native (Stanton), has owned and operated AmComm since 2000 building the company into the leading source of news, information and analysis on the products and technologies affecting the speech technology industry. 

With the acquisition of SpeechTEK and Speech Technology Magazine, Information Today is adding a significant new service of benefit to the users and producers of information, knowledge and content management products and services.
