VoiceXML Forum Launches Developer Certification

PISCATAWAY , NJ - "The availability of this certification exam is an important milestone in the commercial maturity of VoiceXML speech applications," said Jim Larson, manager of Advanced Human Input/Output, Network Building Block Division at Intel Corporation and co-chair of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C's) Voice Browser Working Group. "This test will measure a developers understanding of the W3C Speech Interface Framework development languages, including VoiceXML 2.0. The VoiceXML Developer Certification Exam will enable companies to audit their development teams' familiarity with best practices and serve as an important credential for individuals seeking to join those teams."
