Paris AP-HP to Implement Philips SpeechMagic

VIENNA, Austria - Paris' hospital network, Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), will implement Royal Philips Electronics' (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG) speech recognition technology, SpeechMagic, in all of its 39 public hospitals. SpeechMagic will be introduced as part of the dictation and reporting workflow DictaPlus 5.

AP-HP aims to achieve a drop in report turn-around time, as experienced by the Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou, which is also part of AP-HP. The hospital has been using DictaPlus powered by SpeechMagic in its radiology department for four years and reduced the turnaround time for medical reports from four days to a few hours.
