Convergys Selected to Provide IVR for Monster Government Solutions
CINCINNATI, OH - Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG) announced an outsourcing contract under which Convergys will provide the interactive voice response (IVR) system for Monster Government Solutions' new project with the U.S. government. Monster Government Solutions, a division of Monster Worldwide (NASDAQ: MNST), signed a contract to upgrade the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's USAJOBS Web site and handle daily maintenance of the site. Convergys will develop and host the automated IVR system that will provide telephone access to federal job postings. The USAJOBS site averages 17,000 federal vacancy announcements per day. Convergys will host automated access and query capabilities using Text-to-Speech (TTS) output of job postings and fax-back services for associated documents posted on the USAJOBS Web site. It will also play a major role in providing telephone access to job posting information for job seekers who lack Web access. Convergys' outsourced system will replace the existing in-house telephone access. "Monster Government Solutions will benefit from our proven ability to develop and deploy highly productive customer service applications," said Jack Freker, President of Convergys Customer Management Group. "As a leader in the field of outsourced automated speech applications, our capabilities give us an advantage in winning and then successfully operating programs such as this one. This win illustrates Convergys' success in supporting the federal government's efforts to drive efficiency gains and customer satisfaction by transforming constituent services."
