Novauris Announces Evaluation Program
NEW YORK, NY and CHELTENHAM, ENGLAND - Novauris announced a program to open up to wider evaluation its technology for spoken access to extremely large databases. Following enthusiastic customer response and increasing demand for trials, Novauris has made available an evaluation package comprising software for Novauris' stand-alone PC-based demonstrator, providing spoken access to 245 million name-and-address combinations, together with exclusive time-specific access to Novauris' hosted telephony demonstration systems. The package is priced at $5,995. In response to demand for a system capable of functioning with less detailed address information, Novauris has produced a new demonstration enabling spoken access to over 24,000 items, in which just the name, city and state need be specified. The evaluation package includes telephone access to both this new demonstration and to the 245-million-item system using full addresses. Novauris' unique speech technology, permitting rapid, accurate, single-utterance access to extremely large databases, was first announced in April. It has since attracted interest from developers and integrators of applications for call centers, navigation systems and automated directory assistance. The hosted telephony demonstrations currently provide spoken feedback using VoiceTEXT text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis from NeoSpeech Inc.
