Convedia Enters Into Reseller Agreements with BayPackets, Spectrel

Convedia, a provider of carrier-class IP media processing platforms, has entered into a reseller agreement with BayPackets, a provider of enhanced voice and data solutions for wireless, wireline and cable operators.

Under  terms of the agreement, BayPackets will resell, market and support Convedia's CMS-6000 and CMS-1000 media servers in conjunction with the BayPackets Agility Network Services Platform (NSP) and Agility Network Applications. The BayPackets/Convedia joint solution provides network operators a multi-services platform based on open standards and can be used to deliver a wide range of new voice and data services tailored to the needs of their business and consumer customers. These services include: VoiceVPN; advanced toll free/800; hot call routing; prepaid/post paid calling card; voicemail; unified messaging; and single number services.

Spectel, a provider of integrated conferencing solutions, and Convedia, a provider of carrier-class media processing platforms, announced a strategic partnership in which Spectel's voice and data conferencing applications will be available on Convedia's media server platforms.

The companies have partnered to develop and market integrated solutions, based on open standards, which support reserved, reservation-less, attended and unattended conferencing services. The combination offers service providers and development partners the ability to capitalize on new markets and revenue opportunities leveraging the inherent benefits of IP while selecting the infrastructure that best suits each company's deployment needs.
