Unisys Recognized for Customer Service in the Telecommunications Messaging Market by Frost & Sullivan
BLUE BELL, Pa. - Frost and Sullivan has awarded Unisys Corporation with its "2004 Customer Service Award." The award is part of the firm's ongoing market analysis and was released in Frost and Sullivan's recent report, "Enhanced Carrier Messaging Platforms Market." The award recognizes outstanding industry achievements and top companies in regional and global markets. Recipients are chosen by teams of industry experts.
Frost and Sullivan gave this award to Unisys "...as a testimony to the company's unprecedented efforts in responding to its customer needs and in integrating the advice received as a key pillar for its next-generation revenue creation platform, the Unisys Communications Ensemble. The introduction of the Communications Ensemble in February 2004 represented the culmination of several months of research that incorporated the continuous feedback received from carriers around the world about what new features they would like to see." Furthermore, Unisys embraced the carriers' growing focus on moving from a network-centric to a more customer-centric go-to-market strategy in the development of the Communications Ensemble portfolio.
Frost and Sullivan wrote that in drawing up its plans for the next-generation platform, Unisys worked to include its customers' requirements as part of the final product feature list. The company interviewed many service providers worldwide to understand the key business functionality necessary for each value-added service, the carrier's objectives in terms of customer retention and product differentiation and the main factors driving the choice of a new platform. This included items such as migration path and architecture openness among others. According to Frost and Sullivan, Unisys was thorough in its research and design, which has led to a solution platform that can grow with its subscriber base for many years to come.
"Based on the feedback received from various operators and other market participants, we became aware that Unisys possesses a top notch systems integration team that has a global footprint and world class expertise in the enhanced service platform arena," said Ronald Gruia, senior strategic analyst, Frost and Sullivan. "We heard very positive feedback on the speed and efficiency of Unisys' responsiveness in addressing key issues in both trials and live installations."
