SpeechWorks' Speechify Selected by Boeing
BOSTON, MA - SpeechWorks International Inc. (Nasdaq: SPWX), a developer of speech technologies and services, announced that The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) has selected its Speechify text-to-speech (TTS) engine to support a portion of the on-board alert warning system in the next-generation AH-64D Apache Longbow multi-role combat helicopter. The AH-64D Apache Longbow, in production by Boeing in Mesa, AZ, is the newest version of the combat-proven AH-64A Apache and a candidate to fulfill the attack helicopter and reconnaissance requirements of numerous armed forces worldwide.
