Siemens VDO Selects Acoustic Technologies' SoundClear* Full-Duplex Software for Bluetooth Car Kits

MESA, Ariz. - Siemens VDO Trading GmbH announced that it will use Acoustic Technologies' SoundClear* ATS5500 software in its VDO Dayton CIX 3000 Blue Bluetooth hands-free automotive installation kit for retrofitting. The SoundClear software improves voice clarity, full-duplex operation, and speaker volume for hands-free operation.

SoundClear optimizes speech intelligibility in hands-free applications with full-duplex control that adaptively monitors, detects, and processes incoming voice, echo, and noise signal power levels. ATS5500 provides a combination of echo cancellation, bi-directional noise reduction, and sound enhancement along with monitoring and control algorithms. 

SoundClear software will be available on the VDO Dayton CIX 3000 Blue hands-free car terminal, which is now in production and will be available in stores soon.
