AOnePro Selects Fonix Speech for New Electronic Dictionaries in Korea

SALT LAKE CITY - AOnePro, a provider of e-dictionaries in Korea, entered a licensing agreement with Fonix Speech, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fonix Corporation (OTCBB: FNIX), to receive Fonix DECtalk text-to-speech (TTS) for two new electronic dictionaries manufactured and sold by AOnePro. Fonix will receive unit royalties from the sale of each device.

AOnePro's new handheld dictionary devices for Korean speakers, models AP255 and APM700, feature DECtalk 4.6.4 — Fonix's TTS solution for limited-memory electronic devices. The AP255 is a general-use dictionary, while the APM700 was developed primarily for the medical industry and will be marketed specifically to medical students. Both dictionaries are marketed and sold in Korea.

Fonix established a working relationship with AOnePro through its partnership with Epson. Epson and Fonix have offered a combined speech solution featuring Fonix speech technology on Epson semiconductor chips since 2003. AOnePro implemented the Fonix/Epson speech solution utilizing the Epson S1C33L05 semiconductor chip.
