Genesys Adds CTO and SVP to Executive Team
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Alcatel (NYSE: ALA, Paris: CGEP.PA), announced that Paul Segre has been appointed to senior vice president and chief technology officer at its Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories Inc., subsidiary. An experienced Alcatel executive, Mr. Segre will now lead Genesys' overall technological direction, including all engineering, product management, technical support and program management activities. Genesys also announced that Bonnie Crater has joined the company as senior vice president of marketing. Ms. Crater will guide Genesys' marketing strategies, including product marketing, market development and marketing communications.
Mr. Segre's career includes nearly 14 years of management experience in the network management and workforce management industry. Most recently, Mr. Segre was vice president and general manager of Alcatel's Wireline Access business unit, the leading provider of next-generation Digital Loop Carrier products. Previously, Mr. Segre held the position of vice president and general manager of the Advanced Products Division for DSC and held various senior management positions at AT&T in network management and workforce management.
Ms. Crater brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, product management and corporate leadership. At Netscape Communications, Ms. Crater held the position of vice president, Solutions Marketing, Enterprise Division. A 10-year veteran of Oracle Corporation and its various subsidiaries, Ms. Crater was vice president, Compaq Products Division and vice president, Workgroup Products Division. Most recently, Ms. Crater was chief marketing officer at Stratify, an unstructured data management startup, and president and CEO of Zelerate, a provider of accelerated e-commerce solutions.
