Voxeo and Paraxip Technologies Announce Partnership to Offer Standards-Based IVR and Call Control
NEW YORK - Voxeo, Inc. and Paraxip Technologies announced at the SpeechTEK 2004 conference that they are joining forces to provide advanced IVR and call control solutions to their respective customers. With this new partnership Paraxip's SIP gateway software will be bundled with Voxeo's VoiceCenter Turnkey IVR servers. In parallel, Voxeo's SIP and CCXML-based third party call-control software will be available from Paraxip as an add-on to its Open Gateway VoIP products.
The Voxeo/Paraxip partnership further extends the reach and availability of CCXML-driven call control. CCXML - a proposed standard by the World Wide Web Consortium (the W3C) - controls how phone calls are placed, answered, transferred, connected, conferenced, and more. CCXML works hand-in-hand with VoiceXML to provide a 100% standards-based solution for any telephony application.
The combined product sets are expected to be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2004.
