Intervoice Announces Availability of Telephony Software
DALLAS, TX - As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Intervoice Inc. (Nasdaq: INTV) announced the availability of its Telephony Interface Manager (TIM) software product and pre-configured hardware platform for the deployment of speech applications to participants in the Microsoft Speech Server Beta program.
The Intervoice TIM offers advanced call and media control capabilities to the Microsoft Speech Server, the most recent addition to the Windows Server System family, for the deployment of Speech Application Language Tags (SALT)-based telephony and multimodal speech enabled applications. "With a 20-year history in voice technology, Intervoice is an integral force in the Microsoft Speech Partner Program and shares our vision for making speech a mainstream and pervasive technology," said James Mastan, director of marketing for the Speech Technologies group at Microsoft Corp. "The Intervoice TIM, in conjunction with the Microsoft Speech Server, will play a critical role in helping enterprises realize business value from speech-enabled applications." Working with partners HP and Intel, Intervoice has also created a pre-configured hardware platform that makes it easy for participants in the Microsoft Speech Server Beta program to develop, test and deploy SALT-based speech applications. The platform comes with all of the hardware and software necessary to begin implementation. The fully tested systems include the Intervoice TIM, Microsoft Speech Server software, Windows 2003 Server operating system, Intel Dialogic telephony interface board, and HP server hardware. Participants in the Beta program can select either a Standard or Enterprise configuration of the platform to match their preferred deployment environments.
