Verizon Wireless Introduces Voice-Activated Phonebook

WOBURN, MA - The VAP is one of a suite of Voice Signal applications that are integrated with the Samsung SCH-a610 handset. According to Voice Signal, some of the features of the Samsung a610 include the Voice-Activated Phonebook (uses Voice-Signal Technology to dial numbers and navigate handset menus without having to "train" the device), Digit Dialing, which permits a user to dial any number, TTS output, that allows users to control dialing features and command and control, which is designed to launch applications by speaking a single word.
