Telly Partners with Sensory

Smart TV manufacturer Telly has partnered with Sensory, a provider of on-device speech recognition, to deliver speech-to-text technology that allows users to speak naturally to their TVs without memorizing scripts or specific vocabularies.

With Telly's advanced computing power, hundreds of the most-used voice commands are processed natively, on the device, eliminating the need for cloud-based data sharing. This ensures greater consumer privacy and delivers responses free from latency issues.

"Telly's use of Sensory's embedded speech-to-text technology represents a leap forward for voice-enabled televisions. By leveraging the immense computing power of our TVs, we're delivering a smarter, more secure, and more private experience for consumers on the smartest TV ever built," said Sascha Prueter, Telly's chief product officer, in a statement. "The smartest TV ever deserves the smartest approach to privacy. With Telly's use of Sensory's on-device voice technology, we are able to bring extremely fast, low-latency voice commands to the living room."

"Sensory's expertise in local voice technology, combined with Telly's dual-screen innovation, pushes the boundaries of what’s possible," said Todd Mozer, president and CEO of Sensory, in a statement. "Together, we're setting a new standard for secure, responsive, and intuitive voice interactions."

Telly redefines TV interaction by offering both hands-free far-field voice control and button-activated remote options.
