Chant Launches Developer Workbench 2023
Chant, a provider of speech and natural user interface technology and class libraries, has launched a new version of its flagship Chant Developer Workbench for developing software that speaks, listens, and interacts with users.
Chant Developer Workbench provides an environment for developing and interactively testing speech and natural user interface technologies. Developers can manage conversations, grammars, movement, profiles, lexicons, speech, and text-to-speech markup directly within application software they develop and deploy using prebuilt class libraries.
New key features and capabilities provided by Chant Developer Workbench 2023 include the following:
- Updated support for Acapela, Cepstral, CereProc, Nuance Communications' Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Microsoft Windows Media (WinRT and UWP), Microsoft SAPI5, System.Speech, Microsoft.Speech, and Microsoft Speech Platform speech technologies.
- .NET assemblies for .NET Frameworks 4.5+, 3.1, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0.
- Java JAR libraries for JDKs 1.8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19.
- Updated Visual Studio, RAD Studio, JDK (Eclipse, NetBeans, et. al.), Android Studio, and Xcode (Objective-C and Swift) sample projects for rapid application development.
"Cross-platform and native apps face daunting challenges working divergent platform APIs," said John Earle, president and founder of Chant, in a statement. "With Developer Workbench 2023 class libraries, applications can listen and speak with common and familiar services across various programming languages and platforms."
