RAIN Secures $11 Million in Funding

RAIN Technology, a voice and conversational artificial intelligence vendor, has secured $11 million in funding to help it scale its new product division.

RAIN's first industry-specific product, a voice-enabled virtual assistant named "Ortho" for automotive repair technicians, launched in late October.

RAIN was initially focused on consumer applications and mainstream voice assistants when it launched in 2016 and has recently shifted its business focus to building employee-facing solutions for wjhat it calls "deskless workers." The company is also working in other industry verticals, including healthcare, with a strong need for purpose-built voice assistants.
