VKontakte Opens Its Platform for Speech Developers
Russian online social network Vkontakte has opened its technology platform to developers, allowing thenm to listen and recognize voices from the world.
The social platform uses automatic speech recognition to generate voice messages, subtitles in videos, personal recommendations, and more. It works with three neural networks simultaneously: one handles the speech recognition, one locates the appropriate words, and the third handles the punctuation.
Developers can now test these technologies using a web interface or via the VKontakte public API to create virtual world-based web sites.
