SmartBug to Launch an Integrated Smart Home System

Italian tech startup SmartBug is set to launch a home automation ecosystem that relies on a series of touch- and gesture-enabled wall switches that can collaborate among each other through WiFi, Bluetooth, and IR technology. With SmartBug, users can control most traditional technology through an intelligent app that can be downloaded on their smartphones.

SmartBug also features a digital microphone and buzzer and can manage the voice commands of all the smart home functions. A listening feature can be activated and deactivated at will, allowing it to notice the presence of people, dangerous situations (cries for help), or suspicious noises (alarm feature).

SmartBug is also an intelligent ecosystem of control that can recognize and manage excessive loads of energy and avoid triggering the circuit breaker. SmartBug can measure and control power usage through a monitoring dashboard.
