AppTek Integrates with OOONA
AppTek, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), automatic speech recognition (ASR), neural machine translation (NMT), and natural language understanding (NLU) technologies, is partnering with OOONA, a provider of professional management and production tools for the content localization industry.
The partnership allows OOONA to offer AppTek's ASR and NMT technologies within its cloud-based Translation Manager platform, which facilitates translation, subtitling, and captioning workflows. The integration will enable conversion of speech-to-text and text-to-text translations within OOONA's subtitling and captioning production tools, giving users more flexibility by supporting numerous target languages. The AppTek tools will further enhance the subtitling and captioning efficiencies that organizations receive from using OOONA's localization platform.

By combining AppTek's automatic speech recognition and neural machine translation technologies with OOONA's easy-to-use software, users will be able to expand their localization capabilities globally while increasing the speed of production," said Volker Steinbess, managing director of AppTek, in a statement.
