Spotify Tests Voice Controls

If you’re a regular Spotify user, you may have noticed the music streaming service has been testing a hands-free option that allows users to control the app with their voices. The Verge reports, “To access the new voice search feature, you tap the magnifying glass icon at the center of the bottom row of tabs. If you have it, you’ll see a microphone icon inside a white bubble in the lower-right hand corner of the screen.”

Right now the test is only available in English, and only to a small number of iOS users. Spotify confirmed to The Verge that the test is taking place, but didn’t have much to say. Write Casey Newton had access to the new feature, though, and says results were mostly accurate.
