Samsung Partners with VoiceBox Technologies
Through a partnership announced late last week, Samsung will use VoiceBox Technologies' natural language understanding (NLU) technology in its voice services. The companies have been working closely together to build an intelligent assistant powered by VoiceBox's NLU technology.
"We are proud to have been selected to power the voice services on a range of existing and new Samsung mobile devices," said Mike Kennewick, CEO of VoiceBox, in a statement. "We look forward to collaborating on other opportunities with Samsung, particularly relative to our smart home and Internet of Things initiatives."
"Samsung understands that voice is a critical technology for its future. We are pleased to partner with VoiceBox, and this collaboration will enable us to provide users with a powerful voice experience," said Peter Koo, senior vice president of Samsung Mobile, in a statement.
VoiceBox's technology can be found in connected cars, smartphones, and wearables. Additionally, the company provides intelligent, contextual voice solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) seeking to integrate voice controls across a range of products in the Internet of Things market.
