VocalIQ Spun Out from Cambridge University
VocalIQ, a company in the field of speech-related artificial intelligence, has opened a satellite office in San Francisco to support its North American clients and in preparation for the company’s public technology launch later this year.
VocalIQ is developing a self-learning dialogue platform that has been recognized by customers as the future of human-machine conversation. VocalIQ uses machine learning algorithms to enable natural human-to-machine conversations.
The company's founders include CEO Blaise Thomson, who spent several years researching new approaches to building spoken dialogue systems as a research fellow at St John's College of Cambridge University; and Chairman Steve Young, a computer speech researcher at Cambridge University who has pioneered the use of machine learning in dialogue systems. VocalIQ was spun out from Cambridge University.
