Envox Acquires Intel's NetMerge Call Processing Software and NetMerge CT-ADE Products

Envox Worldwide has acquired the Intel NetMerge Call Processing Software (CPS) and NetMerge CT Application Development Environment (CT ADE) products.  The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As a result of the acquisition, Envox now has more than 1,000 customers, with more than 1 million ports actively deployed on a worldwide basis.

CPS enables business applications to manage, monitor and control calls across multiple locations within mixed telephony switching environments.

The CT ADE product line provides Envox with an expanded presence in the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) market and broadened reach to developers in enterprises and service providers that prefer to create solutions using standard programming languages such as C, C++, C# and Visual Basic. CT ADE is a collection of utilities that enables developers to create and deploy computer telephony (CT) applications.

CPS and CT ADE are now combined with Envox 6, Envox 6 VoiceXML Studio and Show N Tel. Envox 6 is an open software platform that combines a graphical development environment with deployment and management components. Envox 6 VoiceXML Studio is a graphical development environment for the creation of VoiceXML-based voice solutions. And, Show N Tel is an open software development environment for converged communication solutions that integrates standard and wireless phones with personal computers and the Internet.

Envox has hired a group of former Intel employees who have been associated with CPS and CT ADE. They will now focus on addressing the market requirements as they continue to evolve. As a result of the acquisition, the Company has offices in Boston, London, San Francisco, Stockholm and Zagreb.
