iVoice and Toshiba Announce System Compatibility
MATAWAN, NJ and IRVINE, CA - iVoice Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IVOC) and Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division (TAIS TSD), a provider of software-based business communications systems, announced systems compatibility for its business communications solutions. iVoice's Speech Enabled Auto Attendant meets Toshiba's standards for telephony interoperability with the Strata CS Communication Server providing speech-recognition capabilities to end users. The Toshiba Strata CS-iVoice integration enables callers to automatically connect to users by speaking their name. "Together with the Toshiba Strata CS, iVoice's friendly speech enabled auto attendant brings automated answering to a new level of professional service and ease of use," said Michael Durance, vice president and general manager of Toshiba TSD. "No longer do callers have to wait for prompts or use keypads to reach extensions. With iVoice on the Strata CS, they can simply say the name or department they wish to reach and are immediately connected. With its breakthrough capabilities, iVoice makes speech recognition a reality for business telephone users." The Strata CS is Toshiba's business communication system for small to medium-sized companies. It is a server-based business communication systems to support digital telephones and give users the ability to integrate all their business communications via voice, voice mail, or e-mail through a graphical user interface (GUI) on their desktop or laptop PC, or via a telephone handset. Toshiba TSD markets its products, including digital business communication systems and voice processing systems, in the United States through a network of 300 authorized dealers, with more than 600 sales/service centers nationwide. Toshiba and iVoice will be working together to co-market the integrated solution through the Authorized Toshiba Dealer network.
