iVoice Releases Speech Software Developers Kit Version 3.0
MATAWAN, NJ - iVoice Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IVOC), a developer of speech recognition technology, announced the release of the latest version of its Speech Software Developers Kit, (SDK). iVoice Speech SDK version 3.0 allows software developers to speech-enable any PC or telephony application and has been improved to incorporate iVoice's latest Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine enhancements. According to Cahners In-Stat Group, in a comprehensive speech recognition market report, the high-tech market research firm finds that in 2005, sales of speech recognition software engines, the basis for all speech recognition products, will reach $2.7 billion. Demand from service providers and voice portals are creating new markets for speech recognition products and coupled with demand for CRM applications, there is great opportunity for both software providers and application developers to capitalize on the speech recognition explosion. iVoice Speech SDK is a tool for application developers that will convert common command and control functions to speech commands. The SDK allows software developers to write applications that can treat the voice as an input device, such as mouse, keyboard or joystick. CRM (Customer Relations Management) Telephony applications will also benefit from the use of speech command and control. In addition to telephony applications, the SDK can be used to incorporate speech recognition into games, handheld devices and even household appliances. The enhancements to version 3.0 include a Component Object Modeling (COM) library that lends itself to creating speech applications in both Visual C++ and Visual basic. The SDK is multithreaded and supports simultaneous input processing by supporting buffering on up to eight speech channels in three different recognition modes.
