YouMail Partners with GotVoice to Expand Offerings
YouMail and GotVoice today announced a strategic agreement aimed at improving their service offerings and revenues. As part of the agreement, YouMail will acquire the existing users of the free GotVoiceLite service, and will license GotVoice’s patented and patent-pending G2 communications platform to expand YouMail’s free and premium service capabilities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Through its partnership with GotVoice, YouMail will immediately increase the size of its core user base and provide services to users whose wireless carriers don’t traditionally support conditional call forwarding. By leveraging GotVoice’s G2 platform for voicemail aggregation and transformation, YouMail can focus on providing the industry’s best consumer voicemail experience, while leveraging GotVoice’s business-class voicemail-to-text transformation services.
“Partnering with GotVoice will allow us to accelerate our path to scale and profitability by growing our audience and rolling out exciting new features and services more rapidly,” said Alex Quilici, YouMail’s CEO. “We’re very pleased to be working with GotVoice and leveraging their proven technology platform.”
“This collaboration is advantageous for both companies and we’re thrilled to be affiliated with YouMail,” said Curt Blake, CEO of GotVoice. “It’s a testament to our technology that another significant consumer-facing company has chosen our market-leading white-label platform for their voicemail transcription and unification needs.”
