XVoice Technology Brings New Dimension, Personality to Speech Applications
Available through NeoSpeech, the provider of voice-enabled solutions for embedded, desktop and network/server applications, XVoice is a flexible, language-independent voice animation technology that changes how voices sound in real time.
Available as a stand-alone product or customizable for a range of voice animation services, XVoice is a way to add a new dimension to games, entertainment, telecommunications and enterprise applications. With XVoice, a man can sound like a woman, a child can sound like an adult, and anyone can sound like an animated character.
"XVoice is one of the most fun and dynamic technologies we're introducing in the US market," says Lin Chase, NeoSpeech CEO. "It is a simple technology to integrate, yet it offers tremendous potential to add significant and cost-effective new creative dimension and personality to a wide range of entertainment and enterprise applications. We see a real market for this type of voice animation technology."
XVoice operates on a small (8 MB) footprint, providing a flexible solution for anyone who uses voices as part of their application, such as game developers or other creative professionals who manipulate voices or create new personas. XVoice can also be integrated into entertainment devices such as karaoke machines, or into voicemail and e-mail software and other computer applications. XVoice features ten basic animation modes that can be combined to create a variety of voices and characters, making it possible to create entirely new character voices or test new voiceover and narration options. It also saves time and money by providing multiple results from a single voice talent or a text-to-speech (TTS) system. Like all NeoSpeech technologies and applications, XVoice can be customized to meet a range of needs and specifications, including custom, proprietary character voices and specialized voice animation effects. Minimum system requirements to operate XVoice on a personal computer include: Microsoft Windows 98/98SE/ME/NT/2000/XP; Pentium II 233MHz or higher: 32MB RAM or higher; at least 8MB of free disk space, and a SoundBlaster-compatible sound card with full-duplex support required.
