With Speakeasy, Wavelink Adds Voice to Velocity

Wavelink has addeed Speakeasy support on the Velocity platform, bringing voice to modernized terminal emulation and Web-based applications on the Android operating system.

Building on Wavelink's existing Velocity platform, Speakeasy voice-enables mobile applications on the latest generation of Android mobile devices.

"Adding voice to Velocity is central to our strategy of accelerating productivity and bringing comprehensive mobile enablement to the Android platform," said Steve Bemis, vice president of mobile productivity at Wavelink, in a statement. "With the addition of voice via Speakeasy support, any previous hesitations or objections about adopting Android in the warehouse are significantly reduced or eliminated altogether."

Velocity with Speakeasy support streamlines business operations by extending voice picking features, and the accompanying productivity benefits, to a variety of warehouse tasks, from receiving and cycle counting to truck loading and put away.
