Wistia, a video marketing platform provider, has added artificial intelligence (AI) video translation and dubbing features, complete with lip-syncing, making it the first video platform to offer a complete, end-to-end solution for localization.

Powered by HeyGen and supporting more than 30 languages, these new capabilities enable companies to translate, dub, and personalize video content directly within the Wistia platform.

"With this launch, we're harnessing the full potential of AI to make it seamless for businesses to connect with audiences around the world," said Chris Savage, CEO of Wistia, in a statement. "Our new localization capabilities empower brands to transcend borders, unlocking marketing opportunities they never thought possible. It's a transformative moment, allowing brands to easily tap into new markets with a personal, localized touch."

Wistia users simply upload their video, select from a range of languages, and the platform generates AI-powered translations. These translations can range from basic transcripts and captions to fully dubbed versions with lip-syncing.

"We're thrilled to partner with Wistia to bring HeyGen's GenAI video technology to their customers," said Kevin Raheja, head of product partnerships at HeyGen, in a statement. "This unlocks an entirely new level of global reach and engagement and reflects our shared commitment to making video communication more accessible, inclusive and powerful."

The new features were piloted by several customer earlier this year. Beta user Matilyn Meadows, marketing manager at Aster Brands, said: "This is such a great feature! We've tried it out and received excellent feedback from our team who speak the dubbed languages natively. I see this as a tool we will frequently use."

Frédéric Chênevert, director of products at Institut TA, called Wistia a "well-executed, super-simple-to-use, and, by far, the best tool I've tested so far."
