Wispr has raised $12 million to help fuel the launch of Wispr Flow, a voice-first productivity tool for Apple Macs. Wispr Flow allows users to speak naturally and see their words come to life.

"Wispr Flow is designed to transform the way people communicate and write," said Tanay Kothari, CEO and founder of Wispr, in a statement. "With advanced features like auto-edits, command mode, and support for over 100 languages, Wispr Flow empowers users to be more productive and creative with their voice and time."

Key Features of Wispr Flow include the following:

  • Dictation, allowing users to speak naturally and see their words appear instantly across every application, powered by Flow's inference engine.
  • Auto-edits.
  • Smart Formatting to automatically structure text for clarity and readability.
  • Command Mode for selected text.
  • Native integrations
  • Whispering mode, allowing users to use Flow around others by quietly whispering to their computers.
  • Multi-Language Support.

"Our goal is simple: to empower effortless communication, reducing the hours spent hunched over a screen. We're setting people free from the constraints of a keyboard and allowing them to focus on their top priorities," Kothari added. "The top tier of users today tell us they write more with Flow than with their keyboards and that we've helped them feel less overwhelmed. They went from using Flow for just emails and messages to using it everywhere on their computer, from talking to ChatGPT to writing reminders."
