Winscribe Partners with Image Information Systems
Winscribe has teamed up with Image Information Systems to bring Winscribe's dictation technology to MED-TAB devices.
MED-TAB is a portable radiological work-station that incorporates a high-resolution LCD display and computer for medical image analysis. Used in conjunction with native or web-based PACS advanced visualization software and Winscribe's dictation software, MED-TAB enables imaging professionals to view, analyze, dictate, document, and send radiological images and reports anytime and from anywhere.
The MED-TAB and Winscribe Dictation technology integration is supported via Android and iOS devices. Using the Winscribe Dictation mobile app, clients simply use their Android phone, iPhone, or iPad to scan a barcode from MED-TAB. The scanned barcode prompts users to dictate key information required for the report.
Winscribe and MED-TAB enables mobile working and can be used for a variety of scenarios. including bedside image analysis, on-call radiology appointments, and in emergency situations.
"Winscribe is excited and honored to be partnering with Image Information Systems," said Pierre Corboz, director of product strategy at Winscribe, in a statement. "The launch of MED-TAB in 2016 was ground-breaking to the radiology sector, and their goal to provide new and effective solutions that allow medical professionals to work in more convenient and effective ways is simpatico with Winscribe's objectives. The innovative usage of our mobile apps that link to MED-TAB, as well as the integration of deferred speech recognition to immediately populate the radiologists' reports to accelerate the turnaround time are the exact type of projects that show our dedication to reducing time and reducing cost. Through this partnership, we hope to further empower radiologists with access to high-quality medical imaging and reporting tools that enable them to work more efficiently and provide better patient care."
"The Winscribe platform finally gives us as radiologists the freedom to report from anywhere at any time using MED-TAB. It is the only system, worldwide, which could offer us this flexibility," said Dr. Arpad Bischof, radiologist and a member of board of directors at Image, in a statement.
