Wengo Selects Acapela Speech Synthesis

Wengo, a Telecom operator specialized in IP phone systems and subsidiary of NeufCegetel, chose Acapela's Speech Synthesis for communication between the users of the Wdeal service portal.

The WengoPhone is a free VoIP communication solution with over 1.5 million new users in 2006. Wengo's service is a marketplace for online services that links up users with a specific request (language learning for example) and users that are offering the expertise required (in this case, language teachers) through an audio and video conversation.

The service platform provides experts with a marketplace, an invoice and evaluation platform and communication tools. Wengo enables users to get paid for the services they provide online.

Acapela's speech synthesis is used when accepting the pricing conditions - defined by each expert - and for all steps of the contact process. The Acapela voices clarify the specific terms and conditions of each individual transaction by reading out the information for the users.

Information is read out loud with a voice, providing the users with the content without having to read text messages.
