W3C Announces CCXML Last Call Working Draft
The W3C Voice Browser Working Group has published the "last call working draft" of CCXML, the Call Control eXtensible Markup Language. CCXML is designed to provide telephony call control support for VoiceXML or other dialog systems. In addition to several editorial changes, major changes include:
· Session Variables Documentation
· Session Life-Cycle Details
· Element and Attribute Name Re-factoring
· Meta and Metadata Features
· Expanded Conferencing Events/Options
· <dialogprepare>
· Event I/O Updates (send element)
· VoiceXML Appendix The CCXML specification is available at http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-ccxml-20040430/ Last call means that the Working Group believes that this specification is technically sound and therefore wishes this to be the "last call" for comments. If the feedback is positive, the Working Group plans to submit it for consideration as a W3C Candidate Recommendation. This document is for public review. Comments and discussion are welcomed on the public mailing list www-voice@w3.org. To subscribe, send an e-mail to www-voice-request@w3.org with the word subscribe in the subject line. The archive for the list is accessible on-line. Comments can be sent until 28 May 2004.
