Voxeo Taps Bob Ingalls as CEO
Voxeo announced that Bob Ingalls, a 33-year veteran of the telecommunications industry and a former Verizon senior executive, has been appointed as Voxeo's new CEO and board member.
Former CEO Jonathan Taylor will remain at Voxeo as chairman of the board and is also now chairman of the board of Voxeo's newest subsidiary, Voxeo Labs.
Ingalls previously spent 28 years at Verizon and was on Voxeo's advisory board. He most recently served as chief marketing officer and president for Verizon's Retail Markets Group and president of Verizon's Business Solutions Group, where he had full responsibility for revenue growth and customer service across the consumer, small business, and medium enterprise segments.
"Working with Voxeo has shown me that this company has always had a great reputation in the industry for technology excellence and customer service, and it is now well-positioned for strong growth," said Ingalls. "I'm incredibly excited to be a part of that as CEO, and I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences in leadership, management, and operations [with] what I think is by far the best company in the industry."
Ingalls' appointment allows Taylor to focus on the growth of Voxeo Labs, which enables agile communications APIs, frictionless business models, and carrier-class platforms for rapid telecommunications application development and delivery.
"After a six-month process to identify the ideal CEO for Voxeo, we found that the perfect leader was already on our board of advisors," said Taylor. "Bob has been a trusted advisor to Voxeo and to me personally and is a valuable addition to our team. His extensive leadership experience and proven track record of success in the telecommunications and customer service industries fits perfectly with Voxeo's vision. We're extremely pleased to have Bob leading Voxeo through our second decade of growth and innovation."
