Voxeo Expands Leadership Team
ORLANDO, Fla. - Voxeo Corporation hired two new corporate vice presidents. John Amein has joined Voxeo as vice president of strategic partnerships, and John Hibel has joined Voxeo as vice president of marketing.
John Amein was previously founder and CEO of VoiceReady, which Voxeo acquired in July. Prior to founding VoiceReady, Amein was CEO of NetByTel. He also worked for Intel/Dialogic for 13 years in a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles in the U.S. and Europe. Amein graduated from Stanford University with a master's degree in electrical engineering. At Voxeo, he will head the company's strategic relationships with key industry business and technology partners.
John Hibel was previously VP of marketing at Vocalocity, where he developed the company's OEM VoiceXML market position. Hibel was formerly director of sales at VoiceGenie. Hibel was also director of marketing and product management at Lucent Speech Solutions, where he was one of the first business representatives on the VoiceXML forum. Hibel graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minor in economics. At Voxeo, he will drive the company's marketing and positioning strategy and operations.
In addition, in the last quarter Voxeo has increased its overall headcount by more than 30 percent and promoted three executives to expanded roles:
- Ryan Campbell, previously VP of engineering, was promoted to senior VP, product delivery, where he will lead all aspects of Voxeo solution delivery and support.
- Clegg Ivey, previously VP of business operations, was promoted to VP, mergers and acquisitions, where he will lead Voxeo's strategy to acquire competitive and complementary businesses.
- Stephen Neish, previously VP of finance, has been promoted to CFO of Voxeo, Inc. in the U.S. and managing director of Voxeo Europe Ltd., where he will lead Voxeo's subsidiary in Europe.
