VoiceObjects AG Appoints Managing Director UK and Regional Director Europe
COLOGNE, GERMANY and LONDON, UK - VoiceObjects AG, vendor of Voice Application Management Systems (VAMS) for the creation of speech-driven services, has announced the appointment of Bob Morgen as its new regional manager Europe and managing director for the UK. In the role of the managing director, Morgen will represent VoiceObjects in the UK and oversee local sales and partner activities. As the new regional director for Europe, he will also build a team across Europe to spearhead VoiceObjects' expansion from its initial roots in Germany to the rest of Europe. Previously, Morgen was employed at the speech software vendor Nuance Communications, where he dramatically expanded sales as Director of EMEA Sales and Director of Consultancy Services. Before that, he held the position of Global Director, Speech Recognition Practice, at the non-profit research institute SRI International, where he successfully raised the awareness of the potential for speech recognition in the UK and Europe. Morgen was directly responsible for the introduction of speech systems at companies like Lloyds TSB in the UK, Charles Schwab in America, and UBS in Switzerland. Altogether, Morgen has worked for more than 10 years with vendors and end-users to bring speech recognition into commercial use. I am looking forward to representing the technology leader in this area." Morgen received a B.A. in mathematics and philosophy and an M.A. in mathematics from the University of California. He performed two years of doctoral studies in mathematical logic and set theory at the University of Colorado before joining SRI International in Silicon Valley as a Scientific Programmer/Analyst.
