Vocomo and GM Voices Enable Smart Prompt Option
CUPERTINO, CA and ALPHARETTA, GA - Vocomo Software Corporation and GM Voices jointly announced the availability of the Smart Prompt option for Vocomo Voice Response IVR. The Smart Prompt option consists of a collection of pre-recorded prompts that the Vocomo Voice Response IVR system processes to speak date, time of day, dollar amounts and numbers. With the Smart Prompt option installed on the Vocomo IVR, dates, time, amounts, and numbers can be spoken in over 10 languages without any additional programming. "This new prompt option is designed to enable businesses to deploy IVR applications at a lower cost of entry while maintaining a highly professional appearance," said Dr. Danny B. Lange, CEO of Vocomo Software. "While this option is not quiet as flexible as our world-class Text-to-Speech engines, it offers an affordable alternative without sacrificing quality." As Vocomo's preferred voice prompt partner, GM Voices has produced standard vocabularies as well as customized voice prompts. Additionally, the voice prompts are intended to enable IVR applications to increase caller task completion, improve comprehension, boost error recovery flow and enhance customer satisfaction. "The Smart Prompt option makes it easy for software developers to make their IVR applications sound great from the very beginning," said Marcus Graham, CEO of GM Voices. "When they're ready to add the customized voice prompts that an application may require, they just send the script to GM Voices to get custom prompts in the same voices as found in the 'Smart Prompt' option." According to Vocomo the Smart Prompt option is enabled via the SSML "say-as" tag and does not require any proprietary extensions to Vocomo's standards-based VoiceXML offering. Each language or voice for the Smart Prompt option is available as an application-side add-on module.
