Vocalocity Announces GUI-Based Development Tool App Center 2.0
CHICAGO, IL - Vocalocity announced App Center 2.0, a GUI (Graphic User Interface)-based tool to simplify and accelerate the development of voice applications. This announcement took place during the International Call Center Management show in Chicago. Designed specifically for solution providers who must meet diverse customer requirements, App Center applications can be migrated between VoiceXML and SALT. App Center's publish capability eliminates vendor lock-in and provides developers with access to application code that can be modified directly and executed on the Vocalocity Voice Gateway or other VoiceXML or SALT platforms such as the Microsoft Speech Server. App Center's drag-and-drop design synthesizes many steps into a few expertly guided directions, enabling both technical and non-technical developers to build customized voice applications. "Decoupling dialog development tools from runtime environments provides voice application developers the flexibility they expect from the Internet," said Dan Miller, senior analyst at Zelos Group. "We expect more use of open tools like Vocalocity App Center that generate scripts of any flavor that execute on servers anywhere in the network." App Center will be featured at the upcoming SpeechTEK Challenge in New York on September 29.
