VocalData and Convedia Partner
RICHARDSON, TX and VANCOUVER, CANADA -
VocalData Inc. and Convedia® Corporation have announced the successful completion of interoperability testing between VocalData's application server and Convedia's IP media servers.
"The IP Centrex market is quickly moving from the pilot phase into full-service deployments, and it is essential to ensure that all aspects of VocalData's offering scale to meet our customers needs," said Mark Whittier, vice president of VocalData. "We evaluated all leading media server platforms over the past year in our search for leading solutions and partners. VocalData considers Convedia a market leader not only because of their excellent technology and rock solid reliability but also for their superb technical support. Our interoperability with Convedia's media servers ensures that our service provider customers can reliably scale all aspects of their IP Centrex deployments."
VocalData's flagship product is a standards-based voice application server designed to enable service providers to supply business and residential users with IP Centrex, hosted PBX, VoIP VPN, and enhanced services such as conferencing and unified messaging. The VocalData platform is expected to allow businesses to avoid up-front expenses.
"Convedia has become the clear IP media server choice for discerning application developers and service providers," said Grant Henderson, executive vice-president of marketing and strategy at Convedia. "We are very pleased that VocalData has certified our media servers for deployment with their industry-leading and feature rich IP Centrex solution offerings. Our product interoperability ensures a fully integrated enhanced voice services platform for large IP Centrex deployments."
