VoIP Provider FeatureTel Introduces New Voicemail-to-Text Feature

FeatureTel, offering hosted VoIP business telephone and data service over private networks, announced this week the launch of its new Voicemail to Text message feature. The new “visual voicemail” service automatically transcribes voice messages to text and delivers them via e-mail.

FeatureTel customers, who already can listen to voicemail messages delivered to their email inboxes, now will receive voicemail messages transcribed to text in the body of their email messages.

“Busy business people are frequently in situations, such as meetings and seminars, where checking voicemail is not appropriate,” said FeatureTel founder and CEO Paul Levering, “or they simply don’t have the time. The reality, though, is that we all have a need to stay connected to our work. Visual voicemail allows users to discretely and easily stay on top of important messages while going about the rest of their business day.”

The new voicemail-to-text feature is free to customers and delivers a limited number of voicemail-to-text messages each month. FeatureTel also offers plan options for unlimited voicemail-to-text messages, as well as human-assisted transcriptions.
