Viecore Promotes Thomas Brown to Chief Operating Officer
Viecore promoted Thomas F. Brown IV to chief operating officer.
Brown has served as senior vice president of technical services since 1996. During that time, Brown was responsible for all aspects of technical services delivery to Viecore's customers. In his new position, he will have responsibility for overall day-to-day operations including management of the voice user interface group, delivery systems, technical training, technical processes and procedures, and financial and legal issues. Additionally, he will be responsible for the infrastructure of Viecore FSD.
Prior to joining Viecore, Brown held technical and management positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Hewlett-Packard and Hughes Aircraft. Brown received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went on to earn a master's degree in computer science at UCLA, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Among his accomplishments, Brown received the 1991 Bell Laboratories Data Networking Quality Award in recognition of software process development improvements. Brown was awarded the Viecore President's Award in 2001 and Executive of the Year in 2003.
