VideoDubber to Use Acapela TTS

Israeli startup VideoDubber is launching a video dubbing service that uses Acapela Group’s text-to-speech technology to regenerate voice over and dubbing for movies and TV programs. 

The company has also been working with Nuance Communications, RRsat, and Microsoft to develop its service, which is based on Microsoft’s SAPI Text-To-Speech (TTS).

VideoDubber enables broadcasters and content creators to automatically dub their movies, TV programs, and news and sport broadcasts to more than 30 languages.  The automated service uses speech synthesis to meet the TV and broadcasting market's needs that have largely relied on manual dubbing services.

VideoDubber claims its technology is able to dub an entire feature film in less than five minutes. It is available as an online software-as-a-service platform that uses synthetic voices based on the voice signatures of professional dubbing artists.

VideoDubber reportedly plans to integrate voice intonation technology into future interations of its platform.
