VAS Signs Basic Employment Verification Pilot

WOODSTOCK, Ga. - VAS International signed as agreement with the United States Social Security Administration and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service to implement a pilot program to provide employment eligibility verification services for employers.

 

As the United States moves forward with programs that will allow greater numbers of immigrants to work legally in the country, the importance of veryifying and documenting the true identity of individuals takes on additional significance. Deploying the SSA/INS system that verifies an individual's identity will provide employers with a safe and secure method for combating false identification, a growing problem in the United States. VAS is the first voice biometrics company to sign such an agreement with SSA and the INS.

 

The pilot program will eventually encompass all 50 states and is designed to help employers verify the name, social security number and a new employee's visa status to ensure eligibility.
